Our Handsome lil Braylon hangin out in his diaper!!!!!
No more Sunlight I can't take this..................go away Jaundice!!!We brought Braylon home on Sunday and had a doc appointment on Tues. They did blood work and diagnosed him with having Jaundice! From Tuesday on Steve and I had to go to the doctor EVERYDAY and watch them prick his heal to do blood work on the progress of his Jaundice!!! There were 4 other babies going through the same thing but they each had to use the ultra violet lights!!! Thank God he was the only one even though his billirubin numbers were high but just under having to use the lights!!!
It was awful he cried each time so bad when they pricked his heal and poor Steve and I just had to sit there and watch it!!! It's not fun trying to sooth a baby that is in pain!
His Billirubin numbers peaked at 16.5 and then finally started coming down! We had to continuously put him in indirect sunlight to get rid of that Jaundice!!! He would just chill out in his diaper in his bassinet by the window!!! I think he enjoyed the warmth the sun gave!!!
It was amazing b/c each day we went to the doctor he gained weight which they said was a great sign! On Sat they checked him and he gained 4 1/2 ounces..............I tell you what this boy can eat!!! If he misses a meal he gets VERY ANGRY.............I wonder where he gets that from!!! LOL
Anyhow we received a call from the doc on Sat. and levels were down to 12.5..........wahoo he said that is great news!!! We will keep our fingers crossed!!!!
